Texture Tuesday: Kim Klassen 02.12.13

Kim Klassen's Texture Tuesday theme, "Love eDition", using one of her textures from The Downtown Collection.  I chose, Cora, which I believe is the subtle pink.  This is one of my favorite photos taken by a friend.

I found the positioning a bit challenging and I still need work on blending, yet love the overall look of it.  I would LOVE to know what Kim would have done with this photo -- perhaps she could make it a Challenge Contest - winner gets a redo of what SHE would have done with the pic!  I think that would be so cool!

Here's a screenshot of the layers for this layout:

The process of design is so relaxing[usually] and the same element can be made to look beautiful so many different ways.  That is a huge reason that I am so drawn to Photoshop.  Plus, I love K's sweet + simple style.  Her artsy posts and website.  It's a relaxing way to spend my time with Photoshop.  Looking forward to seeing what my fellow cafe lovers have done this week!  And thanks to everyone who has visited my blog and also left such nice comments.  It's wonderful to know you are out there :)

Also, a few of you complimented my Before and After Template.  So, here is a Freebie 12x12 Digital Template for anyone who would like to use it.  Or simply as a little inspiration :)  Do your thing, ladies!

For those of you who like Papier Creatif's digital scrapbook products and are wondering what I'll be doing or where in the heck I've been, I am transitioning to 2 new stores this month and will have more information for you soon!

Have a Creatif day ***   ;)

  9. This is awesome, Julie! I really love the first one ... that particular texture of Kim's is so dreamy! Also love both the before and after you have in your template ... love the processing, and thanks for sharing the layers for it, too! I just got your comment on my Texture Tuesday entry over on my Wordpress site, and I wanted to thank you for your encouraging words! Love your site here ... so much inspiration!! Thank you for the 'freebie' template, too ... gonna give that one a try! I also have a site here on Blogger, but I wanted to give Wordpress a chance since they improved things and made it much easier to set up ... still haven't decided which I like best though, but, I suppose time will tell! Happy Valentine's to you, too! :)
