Digi: Summer Golf Begins~

Sometimes Mom's have *braggin' rights*!  Mason's love for golf has always been evident.  Rolling back to his younger years of making his own golf course around our house & many trips to the golf course with his Dad.  He honestly is a natural athlete, excelling at every sport, being placed in key positions & having fun in non-organized sports like skateboarding & snow skiing.  He's just good!

So one year, Marty decides that he wants Mason to try out for the high school golf team.  At try-outs, Mason sank his 1st putt - it was a 30 footer, then started chipping balls within a foot of the target area.  He made the team and informed me that he wanted to not only play soccer but golf!  Oh!  How I relented, "No!  ONE SPORT MASON!  You need to focus on ONE in high school!"  No surprise for most of you, realizing how much I've always loved soccer and whose daughter played colliegate level!  He and Marty won out.  The next year, his focus was golf, after placing 3rd in District.

So, Summer Golf has begun.  Wow!  I'm still working on his scrapbook album from last summer!  It's gonna be so cool to finish!

This layout was kinda fun to do.  Catching his various *looks* while holding up the Dallas Baptist University Invitational 3rd Place banner.  He also received the hat & shirt from the tournament which was really nice and immediately put them on afterwards.  I grabbed a camera, snapped some shots and put this layout together for him.  He rocks in my book.

I'm looking forward to some upcoming tournaments & new golf courses.  He will be very busy this summer {the way I prefer him to be ... busy, real busy.}

Keep Creating!

Digi: Rodeo Photo - Turquoise Dream~

I've edited this photo of my son's girlfriend amping up color and adding a photo mask!  Love that *antiquey-d'stressed* look that adds so much interest to an already beautiful shot!

I'm gonna call this photo:

*TURQUOISE DREAM*

You can tell by her posture & demeanor that she is an avid horseman packed with talent!  She showed us a few of her photographs from a recent competition and I offered to scan them for her.  I love horses and the opportunity to Photoshop something other than soccer, golf or family events was so fun!  And I cannot wait to attend the next competition she tackles, as she is one of the top contenders.

Texas weather is heating up ... It's hot ... like Africa hot!  And BTW, I'm loving the World Cup!  Two of my favorite teams are Denmark and Portugal!  The English commentator is amazing,  his comments like, "that ball was shot with venom", "he's dissatisfied (with that)" {ie. upset that he didn't score} ... oh I wish I could remember more, maybe I'll listen to another game and take notes next time to share and edit this post!

Lots has been going on.  Mason had his wisdom teeth and a dental implant yesterday.  He's recovering well but has a very sore jaw.  The doctor must have really cranked his mouth open wide.  The first 8 hours were uncomfortable after his surgery but he's feeling much better this afternoon and is raring to play golf.

Speaking of golf ... I'll have to post his latest layout from the DBU Golf Tourny.  He placed 3rd in the event.  We are extremely proud of his commitment to golf and passion for the sport!  He is all out and wants to play professionally.  I am 100% behind his dreams.  It's up to him to put the work in to make it happen.  And I know he is fully capable of achieving that dream should he go for it :)  He's come a long way over the past year and is maturing more and more.  I adore him and love him like *a million stars in the sky* and he is the one who stands out to me.

Info: Jessica Sprague - Free Computer Tricks for Cards Class~

*JESSICA SPRAGUE* FREE COMPUTER TRICKS FOR CARDS CLASS!

This is the link above, if you are interested, it's FREE!  GO HAVE FUN!

Hi Everyone and hello my-little-neglected-blog!  See that chick?  This month, it's her fault; last month is was Mason's fault that I haven't been posting!  And there's lots to post but no time, so hopefully, I'll catch up soon.

For those of you who love card making and using the computer, Jessica's class is for you.  And if anyone can *teach you* how to do it, Jessica can.  If she can teach me Photoshop, she can teach anybody anything!

What I enjoy most about J*S are her in depth video tutorials and her communication style.  She's precise and explains things in a way that makes sense to even menopausal women like myself.  And speaking of menopausal women, there is a broad spectrum of women who flock to her website because it truly is a quality place to go for Photoshop, Photography, Digital Design.

If I love her, you will love her!

Please post this on your blogs, if you are a scrapbooker or cardmaker or just want to out of the goodness of your heart.  The more the merrier!  Plus, we can hang out!
